Why Buttons Matter

From Amazon to Facebook to Google, button design is an iconic part of the Web experience. Web designer Marc Hemeon has these four recommendations when designing the buttons for your website or app:

• Pick one size for all buttons, with the possible exception of a call-to-action button
• If you need a large call to action button, limit it to one per page.
• When it comes to shape and dimension, keep button styles consistent, with one look-and-feel and a limited colour palette.
• Limit your colour palette to no more than three colours for your buttons.
